Evening breath

This is a picture I made in school. The idea was to make an impressionistic piece, but my art teacher judged it as expressionism. But that doesn't disturb me at all actually, because I'm quite satisfied with the result. (And I think the teacher liked it too, because he gave me 9 (in a grade of 4-10).)

This is one of the first coloured drawings/paintings I've ever made. The girl (reference from a really beautiful photo which is in the dA; please tell me if you recognize that) is drawn with Derwent Pastel Pencils, and the background is made with water-colours (and I'm not good with them). Even more interesting, the picture is made to drawing felt, not to paper; it was quite interesting.

I love the expression on her face, its so arrogant but there is also sadness in her eyes. She reminds me of Brianna from Diana Gabaldons books.
